Math Assistance

CGS Math Tutor

Students who are struggling in any math-related course, need help with an upcoming exam or project, or just want to brush up on their basic math skills are encouraged to meet with the CGS math tutor. Tutoring is held in the McCarl Center on the fourth floor of the Cathedral of Learning during specified walk-in hours or by appointment. Walk-in hours for the 2009 spring term are as follows:

  • Monday: 2–6 p.m.
  • Wednesday: 2–6 p.m.

  • Friday:3–5 p.m.

Math Assistance Center

Students who are experiencing difficulty in their math and/or statistics courses may also go to the University’s Math Assistance Center. The MAC is staffed by faculty and undergraduate teaching assistants from Pitt’s math department.
