Math Assistance
College of General Studies Math Tutor
Students who are struggling in any math-related course, need help with an upcoming exam or project, or just want to brush up on their basic math skills are encouraged to meet with the College of General Studies math tutor. Tutoring is held in the McCarl Center on the fourth floor of the Cathedral of Learning during specified walk-in hours or by appointment. Walk-in hours for this term are as follows:
- Monday: 1–6 p.m.

Thursday: 1–5 p.m.

Online tutoring is also available at certain times, using the CGS Math Support Tutor organization through the University's CourseWeb site at http://courseweb.pitt.edu/. You must be added to the site by emailing djr56@pitt.edu prior to the chat to have access to these online sessions.

Math Assistance Center
Students who are experiencing difficulty in their math and/or statistics courses may also go to the University’s Math Assistance Center. The MAC is staffed by faculty and undergraduate teaching assistants from Pitt’s math department.
