Located on the fourth floor of the Cathedral of Learning in the Oakland section of Pittsburgh, the College of General Studies offers courses across the 120-acre campus located in the cultural center of the city.

The College of General Studies uses the same faculties as the Kenneth P. Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences and the professional schools of the University to provide instruction. Students who enroll in the College of General Studies can complete a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Sciences degree in a variety of career-oriented fields as well as in the arts and sciences.
